The first requirement or condition to study at a university in Bulgaria is a Diploma or Certificate proving successful completion of the previous stage of education. Applicants should have secured at least 62% out of the maximum mark from the subjects taught at high school in the respective country.
Those who meet the minimum of TU- Varna Admission Exam (155 marks) have the right to enrol as a first-year undergraduate in their chosen English- taught Bachelor or Master’s degree courses without any further admission examinations.
Test takers who fail to reach the minimum of TU -Varna Admission Exam, but meet the requirements for level A1 (110-114marks) have the right to apply for the English language preparatory course provided by the Technical University of Varna without taking any further admission exams.
Those who fail to reach the minimum of A1 (Elementary) level are offered to take 120-hour intensive language course in general English covering A1 level on the CEFR. Upon completion the A1 course level students can join the English language preparatory course provided by the Technical University of Varna starting in January.
TU- Varna Admission Exam is optional for those candidates who directly apply for the English language preparatory course provided by the Technical University of Varna.
ACCEPTED ENGLISH LANGUAGE QUALIFICATIONS
Applicants with the following qualifications will be considered for direct entry to TU-Varna‘s Undergraduate Bachelor Degree Programmes.
- CAMBRIDGE English: Advanced (CAE)
- CAMBRIDGE English: Proficiency (CPE)
- CAMBRIDGE FIRST CERTIFICATE (FCE) (min. 160 scores out of 190 total scores)
- IELTS (min. 5.5 out of 9 Overall Band Scores)
- TOEFL iBT (min. 72 out of 120 Total Scores)
